Enrolment and Voting Eligibility
|
Largely the same as for Commonwealth except for British subjects
who qualify if they were on either a Commonwealth or WA roll between
26 October 1983 and 25 January 1984 inclusive. The two rolls also
treat some special categories of electors differently.

Voting is voluntary. To vote, an elector must be on either the
State or Commonwealth roll.
Property owners and occupiers may also enrol and vote if they are
Australian citizens.

Funding, Donations and Disclosure Provisions
|
Disclosure of donations and expenditure required by candidates,
groups and other persons for each election. Political parties and
associated entities are required to disclose expenditure incurred
in relation to each election, as well as provide annual returns
for donations received each financial year.
Current funding amount is $1.45302 per vote in each House
Dollar amount per vote is paid to each candidate who receives over
4% of first preference votes, OR the amount of electoral expenditure
incurred for that election, which ever is the lesser amount; and
